After dealing with an army of last-bagel-gobbling bathroom-hogging three-am-giggle-fest Slayerettes in training for months on end?  I'm pretty sure dealing with reforming one hardened criminal will feel like something of a vacation.  I mean hey, there's no looming Apocalypse, no nightly vigils at fresh grave sites (one of the many advantages of boats - that whole lack of cemeteries thing), and no one lifting my hairspray every time I turn around.

Sounds like cake.

Or at least like one of those little Hostess cupcake things you can get out of vending machines, which aren't as good as real cake, but they're still tasty if you don't think too hard about that whole nutritional value thing.

Oh, I should probably introduce myself.  Buffy Summers.  Slayer.  Long resume of world saving, and new resident warden.

But no really, are there any vending machines on this boat?

Oops, pardon my powers of assumption. They are sometimes over-eager and prone to wild bouts of big time error.

I guess I'll have to deal, then. It's no big. Thanks, though.

Of course inmate status does not mean unfriendly or hostile so when I do have my powers returned in some capacity feel free to ask for my help, if at all needed.

Right. I'll keep that in mind.

So what are you in for? It can't just be the whole... wanting magic to not be secret thing.

I had high ideals for the good of both worlds - the wizarding world and the Muggles - the non-magical people. I wanted them to no longer be segregated, in essence, and to live together in harmony. But I was met with much opposition to this among my fellow wizards and witches and I'm afraid that led to bloodshed with myself ending up portrayed in wizarding history as some villain because I would not compromise my ideas and did what I thought had to be done.

Waitaminute, is this some kind of "The Big Bad Wolf Tells All" kind of story, where the bad guy's just trying to make it sound like all he wanted all the time he was ruining little pigs' lives was a cup of sugar?

I do believe I have been misunderstood although I do not deny I have done things considered to be negative, despite my reasons for them.

I won't say I don't deserve to be here. It certainly is better to be given a second chance here rather than where I was before - abandoned in a prison for over fifty years.

Hey, I'm all about second chances and that whole... redemption clause. So long as you aren't a soulless demon. And even then, I've... seen an exception to the rule.

No, not a demon. I'm definately human with a soul.

Glad to hear it.

Well, hopefully I'll be meeting you in person around the ship.
